...hey, it just might help. Our Bullpen needs some 'muscle' right now, and some maturity. I'm not saying these two elements describe Zambrano effectively, and as a starting pitcher, certainly not.
Zambrano is often a 2nd inning guy, his first inning or so can get really darn ugly and then just when the cabbage starts to stink, he either takes care of business cleanly or descends into oblivion, and by then it's too late.
A trip to the 'pen may give him the chance to use this insanity for the benefit of the team. If his perception is that, well, I've only got 2 innings to work instead of 5 or 6...then perhaps he will be able to work more efficiently.
Would that be a total schocker?
